'For Ms. Stewart: I was absolutely appalled at Barbara Walter's for her condescending attitude toward Martha Stewart during the interview pn 20/20. Once again Ms. Stewart held her head high and answered every question with class and dignity.

I too am somewhat like Martha, an aggressive woman in a man's world. Therefore considered a "dragon lady" at work. Even in today's world women are treated differently if they are successful and willing to work as hard as they have to in order to achieve that status. As career oriented person myself I do enjoy working in the my yard, I love to cook and decorate my house. That is not so "politically correct" today.

Martha makes is okay to like doing these things. I often had the comment that because I am blonde and considered quite astute at what I do that I cannot cook and men in particular are surprised when I bring something to work that gets consumed in a matter of minutes.

I believe whole heartedly that Ms. Stewart did nothing wrong and I feel that she will be vindicated if the government will stop this charade that they are playing and get back to catching real crooks. I wish to send my best regards to Ms. Stewart and look forward to more of her great ideas in the future. I advocate for her whenever I can.

Sincerely a Martha Fan

Dear Martha,

Keep up your spirits and know that we are praying for you. This whole thing is ridiculous and I am so sickened and ashamed. Please take care of yourself and don’t be discouraged. I have always been a fan and have admired you. I have a children’s boutique and we are adding birthday parties. I’m following in your steps to make our parties the best that they can be. The world needs more inspiring people like you. I will use my store to speak out about this. When my Design a Dolly birthday parties are a hit I will let people know that I was inspired by Martha Stewart to be my very best!

 Sincerely,

Laura

Dear Martha;

Thanks be to Tivo I was finally able to see your appearance on 20/20 this morning while my 3 children were occupied.  You handled Barbara Walters' back-handed support quite well.  It was quite apparent she thinks you are guilty and she kept trying to get you to admit it through word play.  It's disgusting that they made up a charge (securities breachment) because you openly said you're innocent.  Why does our justice system have such double standards.  I've always thought you were innocent until proven guilty.  Plus doesn't every accused person profess innocence?  Since when is that a crime?  Why wasn't Bill Clinton charged for telling everyone he was innocent until later on he admitted he was guilty?  I agree 100% with you when you say it's admirable for a man to lack the "warm and fuzzies" but heaven forbid a woman is strong and straight-forward.  Personally, I never trust a warm and fuzzy person because 99.9% of the time they're holding a dagger behind their back waiting to stab you.  Straight-forward people are honest and tell you "what's up" from the get-go.  On a shallow note...the plastic surgery on Barbara's face is very obvious.  You should be proud of yourself for looking hot at age 62 ......naturally!  Barbara looks like a resurrected corpse and the scary thing is that you 2 are probably in the same age range.  Best of luck but remember that the liberal left is on a witch hunt to do away with anybody who has morals.  Morals are "icky" by their standards.

Sincerely,

PS:  The Save Martha t-shirt and coffee mug are definitely on my Christmas wishlist.

Dear Martha,

I am a homemaker, who loves to watch your show!  I must say that I don't always use a lot of the ideas, but I've never missed an episode until about 7 weeks ago.  My family has recently moved overseas, so we have not been able to see the show or all of the publicity surrounding the "scandal."  We signed up for ABC News online this weekend and were able to watch the interview with Barbra Walters.

My husband and I never really made any judgments about guilt or innocence before, but I will say the media did make it look like there was something questionable.  After watching that interview we both truly are sympathetic.  We both believe that you are being persecuted and "made an example of" because of your name.  Living abroad keeps us separated from the situation, however, we do send our regards and hope that this stress will be removed from your life soon.  We are both Christians, and I do not know what your faith is, but you will be comforted and blessed through prayer.

I am going to buy "Save Martha" T-shirts for my friends and family for Christmas.  I didn't pack any of your books to bring with me, but maybe I'll come up with a Martha inspired package to wrap them in from your website.  Best of Luck!!

Dear Martha,
I bought your first book, Entertaining, in 1983...I have made every recipe (sometimes, a disaster)...I have given your Living magazine to myself and two friends every year...(haven't received them for several months...why? Gawd if i know) i know that the charges against you are insanity, but, please don't let your corporation falter...i am a Physician in San Francisco, boy do these boyz don't want us to succeed. I am thinking of you...how can we straighten out my subscriptions???
Good luck,
Amy N. Bossen MD

Sirs,

I'm not sure why Martha is being persecuted for a personal mistake when companies as large as Enron have ruined the lives of thousands of hard-working American citizens. Get a grip! Go after the real criminals! Don't make a mockery of Martha's all-American ability to build herself an empire--what she has done should be embraced by all women in America! And by the men who profit from it!

Jana SIciliano

Dear Martha:

This vendetta is unjustified.

I admire you, your products, your program and magazine. I am not a big fan of K Mart but do shop there, exclusively, to buy your products. They are superior, have attention to detail and are current.

We ALL pray for your exoneration. (Where is Ken Lay et al?)

Dear Sirs,

We need to think about "insider trading". In some countries it is not illegal. We need to consider that all large brokerage houses receive more information about more companies and considerably earlier than the public receives it. Some of this comes by friends inside the companies, some of it comes from other investors.  So where does "insider" start and end?

Anybody over 5 years old knows that Wall Street trades on information-- who is checking them? Answer: nobody.  They just do it in ways that cannot be traced or they do not talk about it.  Why in the world do you think a stock is halted on the NYSE?  To give the public a fair shot at news about to be revealed, or to allow the "gang" and the specialists to set up the book for their mutual benefit (run the stops, place orders to draw the price where it will set off stops, sellong or buying as the case may be, or to run the stock price to panic the nervous nellies).
Are we so stupid to believe that they do  NOT know before the public does?

Lying to the FBI.  The government lies to us 24/7. Politicians lie. the President lies. OJ Simpson lies. Your favorite full business brokers do the same. If everybody were honest nobody would make any money.

I feel that the mood of the public is getting very nasty against the government, prosecutors, the Supreme Court, that Marta will beat this thing.  By January, the economy and Iraq will have spun out of control. My impression all along is that it is one of many smokescreens this administration has set up to deflect the heat from Enron, and an impending disaster in the economy, and Iraq, and in general its own incompetence.

Martha is smart to demand the jury trial.
I bet she beats it.

Dear National Enquirer,

No matter how hard you try, there is no justification in capitalizing off of someone else's misfortune. Therefore it is simply wrong to be rolling in the dough by printing garbage and lies about Martha Stewart. If it's not Christopher Byron, it's The National Enquirer. Do you people have any genuine talents? One that would enable you to support yourselves without trashing Ms. Stewart? Maybe you should take some lessons on intelligence from Martha, you could learn a great deal from her.

There is a legitimate thing in this world, one in which you cannot be sued for, it is called Hard Work. Martha Stewart can explain it to you. She has been rolling in the dough for many years, pastry dough that is! Her millions were made by working hard, not by printing lies and trashing others. Then again, Martha Stewart is a person of integrity, great strength, and the highest intelligence, unlike those who repeatedly bad mouth her.

It is quite pathetic to profit off of exploiting others. The TRUTH IS A GOOD THING! It sells also.

Loyal Martha Stewart Supporter,
Diana Sypolt

Dear CBS,Please bring Martha Stewart back to the CBS Early Show.  Sincerely, Donna S.Smith

P.S. We enjoy P. Allen Smith on Saturdays, but we miss Bryant.  Bryant & Martha were great together in their cooking segments.  Martha is missed by us on C.B.S.

Dear Attorney General Ashcroft and US Attorney Comey,

Seeing as how Martha Stewarts stock sale did nothing to affect the jobs or retirement plans of Imclone or MSLO investors, thank you for being the self righteous guardians of workers by making sure that hundred of workers will now see their jobs jeapordized by your injudicious indictment.   Thank the Lord for good Christian Republican's like Ashcroft.  He can single handedly destroy a friend of the infidel Clinton's and remove a Democrat fund raiser in a single sweep of his Solomon like sword.  What a charlatan.  Those who will be jobless thank you both.  You are true heroes.

Rick and Patrice

Dear Sirs,

Why, at a time when we are fighting a war against terrorism, is the Justice Department going after Martha Stewart? The charges against her are ridiculous---the prosecution can't even make up its mind as to what she's supposedly guilty of! Did she, or didn't she lie? Should have sold her ImClone stocks or not, and, in Heaven's name, who cares, when we allegedly have terrorist cells infiltrating the country, and the clowns behind Enron are running around, free and happy and rich as ever?

And why all the gleeful punishment---taking away her newspaper columns, sales outlets, etc.? I know the feminists have hated Martha Stewart for years---she makes them feel inadequate, donchaknow, poor babies---but I'm beginning to think Martha may have made some enemies in high places, and, for whatever reason, they've decided to go gunning for her.

Remembering
An open letter to Martha’s fans
By Andrew Ritchie

I was thinking this morning about why I care so much about what happens to Martha Stewart and her company. I wondered why I write for SaveMartha.com and what it is about Martha and her unique brand that inspires me to fight for her.

Five years ago I had only a vague understanding of Martha Stewart. I wasn’t a fan. I wasn’t a detractor either. I just knew she existed and that she was all about good taste.

It was when I moved into my first apartment that a friend of mine gave me an old issue of Martha Stewart Living magazine with tips on how to decorate a small space. I chuckled a bit when she gave it to me, thinking it was a bit of a joke. But within moments I was captivated by the beautiful photography, the well-written advice columns, the "good things" and the spectacular layout of the magazine. As a journalism student, I appreciated that it was beautifully done.

After a year of buying her magazine, month by month off the shelves, I became a subscriber and a regular viewer of Martha Stewart Living television. What was happening to me? I suddenly cared about gift wrapping, table settings and was curious about vintage tea towels!

It occurred to me that I was learning something new.

Martha and her team were educating me on topics I had up until this point overlooked entirely. Sure, I can do multiplication in head and write a 3000 word essay on Milton’s Paradise Lost, but I knew nothing about how to properly iron a shirt or the best method for doing dishes. And, without a word of lie, knowing how to do these things properly did change my life.

I became organized inside my home as well as outside my home. I could suddenly make the most delicious chocolate pudding imaginable, thanks to a recipe in Martha Stewart Living magazine. I was paying my bills on time, remembering friends’ birthdays and arranging fun get-togethers with friends and family. For a guy in his mid-20s those are big accomplishments! And it was all because Martha Stewart made me understand that there are so many everyday reasons to be happy and so many fun and exciting ways to make day-to-day life more enjoyable, more organized and more efficient.

And I know you feel the same way too.

In the midst of all this media bombardment, let’s not forget why we want to save Martha and why we love her in the first place.

Congratulations to all of us who have stayed the course.

With love,
Andrew Ritchie

Dear Sirs,

I have never been a Martha Stewart fan. In fact, I hate it every time I see her go on TV. I hated how she assumed that everyone can afford a beekeeper or have their own chickens. However, I hated her for personal reasons. I simply did not agree with her style. I feel that people attacking her and laughing at her now are just pure losers. They were jealous about her success and wish to see her in a miserable state. Whether she was lying about her stocks or not, it is not a crime serious enough to warren facing a life time in prison and public mockery.

Dear Sirs,

I just have to admit I have never been one to truly like Martha Stewart, however what is going on is truly a good ole boys school of thought. Martha is a strong no nonsense woman who has apparently pissed off a lot me men. Not one criminal charge has been filed in Enron the exectutives that continue to walk free...could this be because of politcal contributions??? Obviously Martha may have made political contributions as well but I doubt that it was for and changes in law or government that would have benefitted her. They only person who truly was hurt by this was Martha herself. We must go after the true criminals such as the leaders of ENRON< WORLDCOM ADELPHIA< TYCO etc.

Martha Stewart has brought a decent and beautiful image to our society. Her tv programs show us a better way of life among a whole lot of violent and bad television. Many of us have worked very hard and suffered to improve the way of life for the people in this country. It's dissapointing to see someone work against Stewart or anybody else who has made the effort and succeded. It's unjust to put so much of an effort of time and money to fight you with all of our problems with terrorism, state/main government budget problems, violence, poverty, or just security in general. We should work hard together but instead we fight against the efforts we have made. I personally will stand by Martha Stewart and support your efforts. I hope others will support you too.
Sincerely,
John Saunders

Dear Sirs,

There is a double standard for women in business and the media. Martha is being personally attacked, and that's just not right.I really resent the disrespectful way women are spoken of by the LENO,S LETTERMAN'S ETC OF LATE NITE .
Let's focus on the real bad guys ,Kenny BOY ,WORLDCOM, ETC and leave Martha alone.
As soon as your networks begin to trash Martha and Hillary,I switch channels. What with cable and the good old remote ,choices abound. I also make a note of your sponsers of thes programs and dont buy their products.

I suggest a grassroots movement of this nature will get the attention of your networks and your sponsers. The name of the game is customer dollars.

YOU GENTLEMAN , MOST OF YOU SO CALLED DECISION MAKERS ARE MEN ,NEED TO REALIZE WHERE YOUR BREAD IS BUTTERED
We ladies need to start using our financial clout.after all as a HOME DEPOT STUDY FOUND OUT ..8OPCT OF ALL PURCHASES ARE EITHER MADE BY WOMEN OR INFLUENCED BY WOMEN.

MARTHA STEWART MADE SENSE FOR AMERICAN WOMEN WHO ARE SHORTCHANGED IN TIME FOR HOME, FAMILY AND THE FINER THINGS OF LIFE. She helped us be proud of our muli-tasking abilities. She is a woman who knows how to get things done with grace and style, and, at times, like a pit bull.

She needs to be a pit bull now, and remember she's our pit bull, the voice and the bard of American women who still ROCK THE CRADLE, COOK THE BACON, SWEEP AND MOP, SING THE SONGS, SPARK THE FIRES, AND BRING HOME THE DOLLARS. Let's hope for a next vision of Martha, how to win in the world of money and men! GOT GET 'EM GIRL!
JOAN BARRY

PS. Last evening on the McLaughlin Report (I think that's the official name) every reporter to a one supporter Martha and thought the indictment was foolish, inane and not headed for success. That's an esteemed group, a leadership group, and representing a range of policital views. GOOD FOR THEM AND GOOD FOR MARTHA!

Dear Sirs,

MARTHA STEWART NEEDS HER BUT KICKED.. NOT FOR WHAT SHE DID BUT FOR NOT DOING A BETTER JOB OF C Y A ....SHE KNOWS BETTER BUT TRUSTED A LAZY BROKER THAT WAS THERE FOR THE BUCK NOT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE... WELL MARTHA I AM NO FAN OF YOURS'''''''YOU ARE JUST TO DAMN PERFECT''' HOWEVER I HOPE WITH ALL MY POWER THAT YOU KICK THEIR THIRTY FIVE CENT ASSES IN COURT AND ARE AWARDED COSTS AND DAMAGES.. Dear Media Personal/department stores/"talk show" hosts (cause its not comedy)

I think the treatment of Martha Stewart in America's media and community is heart-wrenching...big chinned divas like Jay Leno seem to think that hometown america enjoys seeing one of their biggest idols fall. Martha has been an American hero and all the bad coverage turn many viewers, or would be customers away.

Please be more considerate in your coverage and ads to realize there are many loyal martha supporters who still love america's original queen.

THE CHASE FAMILY

Dear Sirs,

It is hard to believe how Martha Stewart is being persecuted for her alleged "insider trading" offense while real criminals like Ken Lay, Bernie Ebbers, Richard Scrushy and others have bilked investors, not the least of whom were loyal employees, out of billions of dollars.

This is a hideous joke and clear evidence that the "system" is broke.

Martha Stewart is the quintesential American role model and entrepreneur. Bright, focused, unrelenting. And all done with quality and class.

Further, "living" as defined by all that Martha has brought into our home has been a very good thing, and my hope is that we will not lose her. Sincerly, Sandra Magulski

Dear Sirs,

I would like to say to anyone who will listen that it is time to stop bashing Martha Stewart. It is sad when executives from several large companies steal millions from their share holders and the President of the United States can lie under oath about his extra-marital affairs and hardly anything happens to them. But let a well liked hard working person make one small mistake that she has already paid for hundreds of times over in the money she has lost and everyone wants her out of business. What's this country coming to? Show a little compassion and let a fine business continue to help those who are interested in improving their lives.
