Martha's Books

I have felt from the beginning of this fiasco there were errors, many of them. Here with the news about a Secret Service agent committing perjury, my suspicions are justified again.
I request a new trial for Martha Stewart.

Noelle Murphy

Since the revelation that yet another witness has lied during the trial the news is now reporting a "shift" in public opinion of the Martha trial. Americans are now yelling FOUL--this lady was truly treated unfairly. DUH--where has the American public been----we have been sating this WAY before the trial began. Maybe the media's source of news should have been savemartha.com

Michael Wright

I notice that David Kelly, U.S. Attorney, still wants to destroy Martha despite his own main witness being a liar. Something different has to be tried by Martha's friends to force the govt. to give her a new trial. Mr. Kelly's office is 212-637-2200. If his office gets several dozen calls a day demanding he give her a new trial, I think the pressure will be much more direct! Otherwise, they don't care what Martha's friends or her lawyers think!

Milton Ammel

Its fascinating how the people with the biggest mouths are turning out to be the liars in this case! Hey, I have an idea! Lets make the lying juror and the lying ink expert pay Martha back her millions, which she lost because of them! I hope the judge is beginning to see how Martha has suffered so much and so unjustly. The least, the very least she can do now is keep our dear Martha out of prison. I am sitting at my pc, noticing my SaveMartha mouse pad which reads.."If her stock sale was legit, you must acquit!". HA! Just do it...do something! Where is true justice?!

Christie Bradley

First a juror lied to get on the jury then a government witness lied. The juror perjured himself; the government witness perjured himself; what more reason does the judge need to declare a mistrial?

Janet Howland

Please see that justice is served. Save Martha from the predations of liars.

Kathleen

WHY would this witness for the prosecution feel compelled to lie under oath? Was he pressured to lie? If so, why? Was he lured by a big monetary gain? If so, who and how much? If not due to pressure or for money, then why? We need answers. I just hope we get those answers and Martha is given a real opportunity to clear her name.

Mary Ann Anderson

Martha MUST be given a new trial or better yet this trial needs to be tossed out and someone should be apologizing to Martha, her stockholders, her employees, Peter and the public. This has been a travesty of justice since day one. Enough is enough!
MaryGray

She has suffered enough, especially for the "crime" she is accused of. Let her get on with her life and protect her company and her employees.

jean campbell

Please give Martha a new trail! Thank you, Susan Skinner

Yes I want to join you and all of Martha's friends to demand a new trial for Martha.

sincerely,
Pongpan

Our judicial system is a joke! There is nothing else to be said.

Jan

Yes, i think Martha Stewart deserves a new trial.

toni martin

New trial hell! I think the government should drop ALL charges against Martha Stewart and APOLOGIZE to the lady!!! Even people that don't like Martha think the government was out to get her.

Abby

I demand a new trial for Martha Stewart.

Harry Thomas

This case is about one thing and one thing only. Distracting the American people from the real corruption and lying. George Bush and company created the corporate crimes task force to go after Martha but not his good buddy Ken Lay. This case is a joke. Throw it out.

Ernie Madrid

As most people know, I have been a fan of Martha Stewarts' for over 20 years. I have watched her grow over the years, as an individual, a company, and mostly as a "Brand Name."  In all this time I never once heard Martha Stewart say "I'm Perfect,"  In my collection of her books and magazines;  I do not have one titled "I'm Martha Stewart And I'm Perfect."

The public has placed Ms. Stewart under a microscope for years and literally picked her to pieces. People quickly forgot that she is not a piece of property that we own, but in fact; a living breathing human being with feelings. A human being that never once said "I'm Perfect."

Sure Martha Stewart may bake a perfect cake or roast a perfect chicken.  Then again, who would tune in to see a cake that looked like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, or a chicken with the look of charcoal?    These masterpieces were not crafted in one try, they were crafted in two, three, and four tries, all for the sole purpose of our benefit.

Has public ever decided to thank Martha Stewart for all the long hours and hard work she has endured to bring "Good Things" to our lives? Has the public ever thanked her for returning each day to bring wonderful things to our lives,  especially after being attacked and ridiculed for so many years? The answer is quite simple; NO, the public nor the media have ever thanked her. It's as though it is a "Bad Thing" to admit to all the "Right" that Martha Stewart has done over the years.

I am appalled that a Congresswoman has shown such distaste and poor judgment over ANOTHER WOMAN. One who is a leader in our world as well. One who is a leader in the Business World, where few women have dared to tread, let alone be successful. Couldn't quite grasp the Souffle Concept could you Congresswoman Velazuez? It just proves yet AGAIN, how evil and vindictive one will be when they are consumed by jealousy. Frankly Scarlet, I DON'T GIVE A DAMN, what you think, who nominated you to decide Martha's Fate anyway?

I am also extremely appalled over the fact that our Judicial System has set out like the vultures they are, to completely destroy Martha Stewart. Then again, Martha does not have the ever so wonderful "Brass Balls" as those in suits and ties, who so easily skip through the business world doing as they please, receiving a "Way To Go" pat on the back.  I am appalled that President Bush has stood by and allowed this to happen, then again, it's the "Brass Balls" thing!

Martha Stewart may not carry the "Brass Balls." However, Martha Stewart does carry the characteristics of integrity, hardworking, intelligence, and loyalty. Those with the "Brass Balls" know nothing of these traits.

People need to stop asking so much of Martha Stewart, when in fact they have no right to ask anything of her........ PERIOD......... I can proudly say that I admire and respect Martha Stewart more today, than I did twenty years ago. My loyalty to her shall not waiver.

In Support & Admiration,
Diana Sypolt

Overturn the verdict and drop all charges.

Maureen Dunn

David Kelley thinks this latest development does not have any bearing on Martha's case, and Charles Manson's mother thought he was a good boy. Please let's get real.

If multiple lies told to get a conviction in a case that was all about lying aren't relevant, then I would like to know what is.

Martha was wrongly convicted of lying about a non-existent crime. She never signed her name to lies (as Chappelle Hartridge allegedly did) and she never gave false testimony under oath (as Larry Stewart allegedly did), yet she has been prosecuted and persecuted mercilessly.

I hope the Judge will have the insight to see that Larry's Stewart's lies show the extent to which the government was willing to go to get a conviction in this case. Larry Stewart is not just anybody. He is an employee of the government, and he lied to help the government win. If winning in the case against Martha was so important that one of the government team members perjured himself for the cause, then that throws the integrity of the entire case into question.

David Kelley may not believe this is relevant but I assure you that the rest of us do!
Grace Andres

We are seeing American justice at an all time low! My husband and I are baby boomers ( 1945 & 1947) and we have never seen on so many levels, so many issues gone awry....Martha Stewart is being held to a standard by US Attorney David Kelley, that only makes us think he wants this case as a feather in his cap and a notch on his gun! Iraq and all the horrors of corruption in the news today are in the forefront of American minds...Martha Stewart, likeable or not, is a saint by comparison and the justice system once again under this administration is true to their good old boys course!
A new course of action is wanted and needed! This is truly a tempest in a teapot!
Susan and John Townley

I would like a new trial for Martha Stewart.

Pat Cohen

I feel that the trial was seriously compromised and that Martha Stewart certainly deserves a new trial. If this is denied then I believe that a huge miscarriage of justice has occurred. The more that I hear the more this whole situation sounds like a vendetta against her.

Sincerely,
Margie Diegelman

I could have cared less about the verdict on Martha Stewart's case, but my feelings have changed. First, the Tyco's CEO gets acquitted. His case, and crime supercedes Ms. Stewarts. Then, to hear of this perjury. Yes, a new trial is needed. What is going on in this country?
Thank you.

Joseph Savastano

All charges against both Martha Stewart and Peter Bacanovic should be thrown out. A new trial would just put them back into the same corrupt, lying hands of this government. I agree with the notion that Martha may now have an opportunity to charge the government with conspiracy. If she can- I hope she does, and I hope she gives them hell!

There are so many things wrong with this case. The most unfortunate thing is that this judicial circus has caused such ill-effects to everything that these two people have worked so hard to obtain. I hope that someone, somewhere with any decision-making power in this matter, will let Martha Stewart and Peter Bacanovic have their lives back. Enough is enough!

Dawn Crockett

Our US Attorney's are out of control. Don't they have better things to do. Justice needs some real Justice to clean up their acts. This all is a disgrace

Tom Westall

Stop persecuting Martha- This is just a deversion -trying to keep us from thinking about the big boys with the big connections, (ie) Enron- Bush.
This case should be dismissed.

Rita

I have felt all along that Martha Stewart was railroaded. What is the underlying motivation here? A powerful woman, who has worked hard, at the most innocent of occupations, providing beauty to a home setting, has been pursued more like a criminal thug of the vilest dimensions. I always felt there was an underlying motive to "get Martha". Always the question, who has profited from her loss. And she has lost so much, except her own dignity and goodness.

Martha needed an expert defense lawyer. Not because of guilt, but because of the arena into which she was thrust. She needed Alan Dershowitz, a constitutional rights attorney. Her attorneys did not have the expertise for a valid defense.

Regarding the juror who was so overt in his animosity (who allowed him to be chosen for an unbiased opinion), the dropped charges, which should have dropped the entire case, they were what the case was built on. Now, an expert witness lying!?

Imagine the initial horror and confusion of a woman of Martha Stewart's innocence and calibre being brought into the criminal element of life. She must have been devastated and confused by the charges. She has always shown dignity. Her sensitive face shows her vulnerability. Of all the high power thugs in the world, Martha Stewart is NOT one of them. She is a decent woman who needs to get back to creating beauty and grace and adding graciousness to this corrupt, messed up world.

God bless Martha Stewart, keep her strong and free.

Norene Moore

Something is rotten in the state of New York and it has to be addressed. Martha deserves a new trial, and an investigation should be done of the improper handling of her case.

Margaret Tucker

Just think of all the wasted tax dollars involved because of a faulty government scheme! All of this "Martha Mess" should be ended NOW! To heck with any further trials and such! Declare her FREE and let her go, NOW!! I've been saying this for over two blasted years!

Edd

At last some good news! I demand you give Martha a new and fair trial. This man's lies have brought down an empire. It is obvious to me that he deserves prison and not Martha Stewart.
Sally Tennyson

Martha was charged with lying about a crime she wasn't charged with. As if that isn't bizarre enough, there are now alleged uncovered lies from one jury-panel member, a "best friend" of Martha's, and now an important government witness, Larry Stewart. This case is so mired by untruthful and prosecutorial conduct, the odor from it can be picked up by every citizen in the nation.

Ah, but the prosecution says it doesn't matter. Really now! If they're taking that stand, one must question whether or not our justice system is really concerned with that and only that--justice for all--or if they're willing to wink and open the door to any clandestine miscreant that benefits their case, setting a dangerous and chilling precedent for any American, rich or poor, charged by the court across this land. Whether one is a "fan" of Martha's or not, this case positively, absolutely, cries for a new trial. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Rosemary Brown

I agree that Martha Stewart should receive a new trial. This highly public case clearly demonstrates injustice and hypocrisy if allowed to stand as is. Unless a new trial that takes great care to be above-board and impartial takes place, it will be evident that no one can rely on our judicial system to be fair and just.

Leslie

Please give Martha a second chance to redeem herself and continue her expertise in entertaining and bringing knowledge to the public.

Jmg

I think that the government should welcome a chance to retry Martha Stewart, not only to save face, but so that justice can be served. I do not believe that Ms. Stewart was prosecuted. I think she was persecuted. Her only "crime" is that of believing in the American dream and accomplishing it! It's the small-minded, petty, and jealous individual who wants to punish Martha Stewart...not because she did something wrong, but because he/she does not want to face the fact that given the same opportunities in life, did not make it to the top of their game as Martha Stewart clearly did.

My opinion is that no one was hurt by all of this except Martha Stewart. Well, not really, all of the people who worked hard to help her build her empire have been hurt...the innocent people. All of the people who depended on Martha Stewart for advice and ideas to make their lives better or simply just enjoyed her magazine and shows have been hurt, too.

I think Martha Stewart is the real victim here. Does anyone sit down and think of how she must be suffering right now? She has to sit there and watch her life-long dreams being shattered for no benefit to anyone at all. Just getting through each day of this nightmare must be so devastating but then having to put up with the publicity and the cruel jokes must be tearing her apart. Many people view Martha Stewart as cold. I see her as a hero. She has been put to a test, and she is holding her own. She holds her head up high and is surviving.

When this is all over, some sick people will have had the satisfaction of ripping Martha Stewart's life apart, but they will be no better for it. What a shame! Someday our children and their children will read in history books about Martha Stewart. They will learn that Martha Stewart was a pioneer; she was a successful woman in a man's world. They will learn from her and perhaps it will help them in becoming successful. No one will have benefited from what has been done to this woman!

I want to go on record saying that true justice will be giving Martha Stewart another trial and finding that she did nothing wrong.

Nancy Dewey-Fellows

I'll support MSO, with or without Martha's name. BUT, I want her name on anything & everything & in even larger letters than ever! Martha is MSO to me & nothing will change that...........please get her returned to TV, as well.

ms r a woods

Martha Stewart has not lied as well or much as the President of the United States has, and we have to uphold him. Martha has done much for the American people, gave us soft towels, someone to look up to, etc. I have not been one to buy her products before this mess came up, but I make a point of doing so now. She is a role model but needs to learn either how to lie convincingly or admit guilt and say she is sorry. Little white lies are not all that bad. Don't we all do it?

She did so little wrong compared to her current loss, prison or not prison. Other than hurting her pride, prison will do nothing to her compared to the humiliation and financial loss she and many of her employees and stockholders have suffered.

Since a new trial has been turned down, I suggest a very liberal sentence and fine.

My family was ruined by a deceitful employee who stole from us and from our customers. She misappropriated about $200,000 in funds and all she got was three months of home incarceration and repayment of less than $20,000 (because they would not try her on all counts lest the jury become bored). As we were in the insurance agency business, she also backdated all non-existent policies and sent the claims to companies who paid out over $500,000 in claims. We lost our agency (which was to be our retirement income) and our faith in people as a whole.

BUT, Martha Stewart is not that much of a sinner and a heck of a good cook. Be good to her.

Mary Napier

The government's case against Martha Stewart has more holes in it than Swiss cheese and is stinkier than Gorgonzola! As for the government's claim that their lying witness changes nothing about the outcome of the case makes them look not just hopelessly biased, but incompetent and ridiculous. Three lying strikes and the government is OUT.

Alexandra Mark

Forget a new trial. A mistrial should be declared and all charges thrown out. An investigation should be launched as to who pressured this guy to lie. Martha Stewart did nothing illegal. If telling an officer who stops you that you weren't speeding is a crime, then we should probably all be in jail!

Betty Davis

Martha should be pardoned, but at the least she deserves a fair, impartial trial...GRANT HER REQUEST FOR A RETRIAL!

Fran Reynolds

It would be even more of a travesty if Martha was not immediately granted a new trial

Laura Swaim

My God, how many discrepancies and injustices need to be exposed before this sham of a case against Martha Stewart is thrown out and a new trial ordered, or a mistrial granted--50, 100, 1000! It seems, at this point, that if either one of these scenarios does not occur that that alone would be PROOF that the U.S. Justice Dept. was "out to get" Martha Stewart as an example-NO HOLDS BARRED!! We all know that our government has lied to us many, many times over the last three years, this IS the case that they should finally admit that they created a severe injustice!! I hope everyone remembers this when they go to the polls to vote this November.

Paula Corte

I DEMAND A NEW TRIAL OR DROP THE CHARGES.

Bernardine Kendrick

In light of the fact that a witness for the government has been charged with perjury for lying on the witness stand during Martha Stewart's trial, I think there is only one way to resolve this issue, and that is to grant Martha a new trial. The entire credibility of the case against Martha has most certainly been drawn into question because if one of the government's witnesses lied, then there may have been others that lied as well. Surely this latest development illustrates that Martha Stewart did not receive a fair trial, and therefore she should be granted a trial with unbiased jurors, and witnesses for the prosecution, who tell the truth, and nothing but the truth.

Holly Leer

It is ridiculous and hypocritical that Attorney David Kelley can close his eyes and turn his head on this one! Martha deserves a new trial, no doubt about it. If she doesn't get a new trial, then my trust in the judicial system of this country is going out the window. This will clinch it for me that this indeed is a witch-hunt! This really makes me wonder what else is going on behind closed doors in the wheelings and dealings of Martha's outrageous case.

Pamela Anderson

I firmly believe the charges against Martha should be dismissed. At the very least she should be granted a new trial. This conduct by the key government witness is beyond the pall. If the case was about lies as the government said, they should take responsibility and free Martha.

Chad Billiot

It is time to stop the charade and grant Martha Stewart a new trial.
Based upon the latest perjury allegations against the government's expert witness, it seems that there should be no question whether or not Ms. Stewart deserves to have a fresh chance to prove her obvious innocence.
Sincerely,
Amy Christ

What gives with the lying of a federal witness? We need a new trial since one of the jurors was a lying also. This is not fair in the United States. We are supposed to treat people fair and they are railroading this woman with lies. Give her a new trial now.

Thanks

Judith Lee

Give Martha a new trial

Terrie Smith

You deserve to be acquitted of this injustice. It appears that you now have a reason to charge the government with conspiracy. This does not just involve a man lying about you but an agent of the US government.

Sincerely,
Lynn Barlow
Modesto, Ca.

I suspect you will never see this e-mail, however I did want to let you and your attorneys know a little about stop loss orders.

I am an institutional trader. I know that Merrill Lynch cannot accept stop loss orders for Nasdaq stocks - it is against their rules. Most brokerage firms do not accept stop loss orders for Nasdaq. In fact, the only firm that accepts them to my knowledge is Knight Securities. I do not believe this information was used at trial. The only way Martha's broker could have accepted a stop loss order in Imclone would have been to aceept a verbal order. No official order could have been accepted.

Good luck.

Barbara Wolf

Add my name to the list of those demanding a new trial for Martha Stewart. This whole case is filled with lies and they don't belong to Martha.

Dr. Dixon

I see that David Kelley, U.S. Attorney, still wants to frame Martha despite a key witness against her being charged with perjury. How about Martha supporters calling Mr. Kelley's office (212-637-2200) directly and demanding he either drop the case against Martha or agree to a new trial? This will greatly increase direct pressure on the source of all this persecution of Martha---the U.S. Attorney's office! (The thinking here is that something different has to be tried---all the outpouring of support for Martha has not made any difference to prosecutors---they don't care! What they do care about is if their own persecution work gets disrupted--in their own office!)

Where is the justice? Please give Martha a fair trial. She is not Hester Prin. This is so blown out of proportion.

Cynthia Leavoy

What do we do now? This is so unbelievable. How in the world can Martha and Peter go to prison when so many parts of the case seem to be unraveling before our eyes. You left out another very important fact in the case, one juror allegedly has stated that information about Martha's shoes, purse, and cost of her attorney were discussed in the jury room. That was also against orders from the judge. The only thing proven in this case is what a joke our judicial system really is. How sad not only for Martha and Peter but also for EVERY American citizen. We should all be outraged! This case was a joke from the beginning and now two innocent people's lives are going to be ruined by liars!

Michael Wright

With the news today it is even more important that the charges be dropped and Martha goes back to doing what she does best running her company. Her TV shows needs to be picked back up.

I demand a new trial for Martha! Save her from this torture!!

Jeff Newberry

Martha Stewart was used as a scapegoat and all those people responsible for this nonsense should be held accountable. If she is guilty of insider trading then give her a fine and be done with it, but don't convict her of doing what anyone would do, trying to protect and defend herself. How much more tax money is going to be wasted on bringing successful people down. Martha worked hard to get where she is and no matter what happens she will always be strong and overcome anything thrown at her. God Bless you Martha!!!

Mike Chadburn

What more has to be shown to let the world know that this entire undertaking was for the purpose of taking the attention away from the business activities of W. Bush when he was on the audit committee with inside knowledge that his company was about to tank? True to form for this administration. Just go after someone else, especially a successful woman.

Maurice Bowen, Jr.

We are still in America, aren't we?? Feels more like the Twilight Zone. Let's me fair to Martha and Peter. They deserve a new trial.

R. West

I demand a new trial for Martha Stewart. She did not receive a fair trial the first time.

Denise Shoemaker

She should be acquitted, not pardoned!! They should overturn the verdict and not retry her. This whole thing has been a witchhunt that only illuminates the lengths federal prosecutors will go to achieve their sometimes unsavory goals.

Judy

I for one believe in justice and I believe Ms. Stewart deserves a new trial. She is not a liar. Much of the public thinks as I do, Martha has paid her dues already; loss of money, loss of show, and all the controversy that has surrounded this trial.

Hey as Nancy Grace of court TV would say, Put a fork in it, it is done. This case should be re-tried and lets get to back to doing what is right. Dare I mention the Enron case? What a shame..

Save Martha. She does not belong in a prison. This is an outrage.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Gayle Duncan

I talked with an assistanti n Mr. Morvillo's office who said that those who wanted to express their outrage at the latest revelation in Martha's and Peter's case should write the judge in care of Morvillo. In your letter, please focus on the juror lies and the fact that one juror has also admitted that outside information was used inside the dileberation room---another fact that has been swept under the rug. The American public should not tolerate a retrial but a TOTAL acquital.

Gas is over $2.00 in most areas, we have troops in Iraq along with disgusting pictures showing our own misconduct, an election going on , and the TYCO and Enron cases. Isn't it strange how little we have heard about TYCO and Enron lately? Could it be the prosecutors in Martha and Peter's trial is using Martha and Peter as smoke screens in these MAJOR cases.

Let's face it--Martha and Peter should have never gone on trial. This was a TOTAL waste of taxpayer money---money which could have been used to help people in our own country pay for gas, buy a child's lunch at school, or pay back part of the pensions lost in the Enron case. Enough is enough---Martha and Peter should be completely exhonerated. They deserve it after a case that has proven nothing but how sad our judicial system really is.

Michael Wright

Forget the new trial! This case deserves a mistrial. Do not settle for anything less. A lie is a lie is a lie!!

Jeane

Judge Cedarbaum should most certainly delay sentencing so that a thorough investigation can be made. Then it would give the federal prosecutors a chance to investigate and 'put their money where their mouth is' if this case was indeed all about lying.

I would really like to see all the charges dismissed, however I'm sure the feds would never do that. A mistrial is certainly in order because of all the lies that tainted the verdict or at the very least Martha should have a new trial with an unbiased, fair jury (if there is such a thing) This has been a glorified witch hunt of the first order.

I am so angry and disgusted by the way our great justice system has managed to destroy so much of what Martha spent many years building while friends of this administration who have destroyed so many lives and incomes go free. I for one can't wait to vote in November!!

I am writing again to Judge Cedarbaum and I hope thousands and thousands of others will do the same.

Marie Knause

A lie is a lie is a lie. It sounds to me like someone is out to get her. She has built a multimillion-dollar company and it looks like someone doesn't like it. She deserves a new trial. Hopefully they will look at the ink again. How many more people lied? Maybe she was set up to be an example for others who try to screw their companies out of millions. Why would she throw away everything she's worked so hard for? I don't think money was a factor.

Mary Armond

Give me a break! This whole trial has been nothing but a lie from the very beginning. Drop the charges on Martha and move on to more serious issues that really matter, like the war on Iraq!

Eileen Hicks

This whole thing has been ridiculous. The press has demonized her. I kept wondering when the "feminists" were going to step up and defend her...to no avail. Now that we know of the perjury, I think the whole thing should be dismissed. Get Martha back out here. We need her.

By marketing her products through K-Mart she's given those of us who lack money an opportunity to have style. She's given us back our dignity. She is a wonderful, classy, intelligent woman. She also gives those of us who are a little more mature the incentive to keep on working. I love her!

Ruth Olson

I demand a re-trial for Martha Stewart.

Jay Hadley

It seems ironic that Martha Stewart's "crime" was covering up her trading by telling lies, and that she was convicted because of testimony by a liar.

There are people still living the good life who deserve to be prosecuted for much larger financial crimes....why pick on Martha for a seeming small offense while the big fish swim away?

Martha and Peter Bacanovic deserve new trials....let the real truth come out.

Marianna

I would at least expect a new trial but it is clear to me that this woman cannot get a fair trial! Just let her go!

Carol St. Clare

Finally there is light at the end of the tunnel!!!!! A new trial is demanded!

Maria Venczel

There are no programs currently being aired that are equal to what Martha Stewart offered television viewers. She brought expertise, polished professionalism and a diversity of intriguing topics into the homes of millions of viewers. It is a great tragedy, in my estimation, that her board of directors has failed to acknowledge that it is Martha's own persona that is the very essence of what we have come to know and love about Martha Stewart Living. I believe that she has been maligned and convicted of a ludicrous crime; I continue to support her, eagerly read all her outstanding publications and buy items from her esthetically pleasing product lines. She should be applauded for her courage and grace in crisis and controversy--circumstances that will certainly be judged in the history of America, to be a travesty of justice.
Sincerely,
One of Martha's American Friends in Canada

First a juror lied to get on the jury then a government witness lied. The juror perjured himself; the government witness perjured himself; what more reason does the judge need to declare a mistrial?

Janet Howland

Please see that justice is served. Save Martha from the predations of liars.

I hope that you get a new trial. Frankly, I don't think that the law that was used to procecute you is constitutional. It is a "head I win, tailyou lose" type of law. Good luck. Mary Sue

I hope that you get a new trial. Frankly, I don't think that the law that was used to prosecute you is constitutional. It is a "head I win, tails you lose" type of law. Good luck. Mary Sue

I have believed from the very beginning that Martha Stewart was entrapped and hunted by the federal prosecutors on trumped up charges. Now the truth is emerging. And the truth should set her free from anymore of this outrage...... dismiss the charges, throw the case out, quit wasting money to even have a new trial.

How ironic that the prosecutor on the steps of the courthouse smugly commented that this case was all about lying. And the "vocal" jury member basked in the cameras' lights, took T.V. interviews, and had his day of fame by calling the guilty verdict " a victory for the little man". Now a witness for the government case against Martha has lied about an issue that the prosecutors hammered away at for days on, ink ! Why didn't the prosecutors check that detail out !?!? If that is true, then what else in their arguments was built on falsehoods and error?

The only fair and sensible conclusion to this miscarriage of justice which has made a mockery of our court system is to DISMISS THE CHARGES AGAINST MARTHA STEWART and PETER BACANOVIC and demand an investigation of just how the federal prosecutors went about building their flimsy case. This case was never about lying, it was about finding a "sacrificial lamb" to pay for the "sins of Wall Street"......to "quiet the crowds" because Enron and Tyco thieves bilked millions from the "little guy" and the feds have yet to do anything significant about it!

Denise

Forget a new trial. Drop all charges and let her go. Enough is enough.

Betty V

How much more evidence will it take for the justice department to admit that this whole mess concerning Martha Stewart and Peter Bacanovic was a mistake. They haven't fooled the general public. Martha Stewart and Peter Bacanovic deserve to have all charges dropped.

Marianna Pasternak claims that Martha said:

"Isn't it nice to have brokers that tell you those things?"

What things?? This is an ambiguous, out of context statement from which the
press and the jury draw erroneous conclusions. They determine, presumably
with some kind of psychic abilities, that the "things" to which Marianna
refers are secret things, bad things, insider things.

Maybe if while on the stand, Mariana was probed for an explanation, we might
have more to work with. We might understand the context in which Martha
made this statement and it may have a completely different interpretation.
For example, let's assume that Martha had not been following the movement of
ImClone. She sells her shares and then discovers that Imclone had been
plummeting for the weeks prior to her sale. Yet no broker advised her of
that fact. So while on vacation with Marianna, during a casual conversation
about her sale, Martha states factiously: "Isn't it nice to have brokers
that tell you those things?", meaning, 'how come no one informed me sooner'?
The voice inflection on the word "nice" can entirely change the meaning of
this statement.

Standing alone, nothing is wrong with this statement. In fact, everything is
right. It is nice that brokers tell their clients things. Especially when
the things they are telling their investors are things the client is paying
them to do: monitoring investments and keeping abreast of the market
fluctuation, especially when the direction is down.

So, unfortunately because Marianna was never directly asked the key
question:"what do you mean by 'things'", we are left to wonder. And while
we are in a wondering mode, perhaps we should wonder why, during the trial,
Mariana's testimony seemed so conflicted. On the stand, she appeared very
nervous. Her heavy accent made me wonder if she had some difficulty, as I
did, understanding the subtle differences when asked by the prosecution and
the defense attorney whether her testimony was her 'belief' or her 'best
recollection'. (I though it was common practice that the court inquire of a
witness who does not appear to speak fluent English whether they fully
understand confusing terminology.) Mariana's testimony continually changed
depending upon who was questioning her. It seemed that she might have been
under pressure from the prosecutors for some reason. Since we know that
Faneuil was under tremendous pressure to testify in a manner consistent with
his agreement with the prosecutor's office, why wasn't every witness asked
if they, too, had met with the prosecutor or were under any pressure from
that office for any reason. Wasn't Marianna's husband involved with ImClone
stock?

Unfortunately, many questions remain unanswered and Martha and Peter were
convicted on meaningless words woven together to fit the juror's
preconceived opinions and the media's sick need for disparagement.

I have enjoyed watching Martha Stewart for a long time and will continue to do so no matter what. She is an inspiration to alot of people and her programs give you so many ideas that most people never think of. I think it would be the most terrible thing for her to have to go to any kind of prison or serve any time, especially when there are so many real and terrible criminals commiting crimes that need to be put away. But if she does have too, ther are people like me who will be waiting for her to come back with her shows magazines and what ever else. We love you Martha!

O.J. Is playing golf and Martha is going to jail ????  And they say our system works ???

Suggestions:

Arm bands:  "Save Martha"

Bumper stickers:  "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit...this just doesn't fit, Save Martha!"

Start an email 'tree'  Ask everyone to send emails to ten of their friends, the email would be something like this...

"the lawyers are laughing at us, let's make this a ground swell to show them that WE are the ones with the power, not the lawyers"

This outrages me, we have more laws per square inch in the U.S. Than anywhere in the world, and more people in jail here than anywhere !

I am so sorry to hear Martha Stewart has been found guilty. I am still a loyal fan. I wish there was something I could do. She does not deserve this public humiliation.

I am not the kind of person who posts on celebrity sites, but feel Martha needs to hear from the silent majority who have been following her for years.  I still support you. I feel your fame has victimized you. The crime is petty compared to your holdings. Your name on the other hand is a household name, a great way to let millions of Americans know about insider trading.

Frankly, I feel you've been used and abused by our American legal system. Americans seem to love to destroy our icons. Just for the record I still value you. My life has been in crisis over the past three years(son with mental illness). I have found your show  reassuring. You have been a beacon in a dark time for me. Your calm, reassuring, classy manner has been a gift. You are an excellent teacher.

I believe you will show the American Public that even in hard times you've got panache. I hope that this letter will be one of millions. Let them know we do not want Martha Stewart in jail. Hang in there Martha. In this crazy world where we shame our public figures those who survive come out stronger. I know you are strong.

A loyal fan in Ukiah, Ca.

I just want you to know that I check "savemartha" everyday (a few times actually) and am trying to do everything you are suggesting. I continue (as I did before) to go to Kmart regularly and purchase her products (for Easter I'm giving my three daughters and granddaughter) Martha's enamel recipe boxes. I purchased one for myself, among other things, and went back to get them as gifts.

I will continue to support stores, advertisers, TV stations, etc. who support Martha. If they don't I won't and I think that should be a rule for all of us. I do not think it is right for them to try and take Martha away from us, why do they feel they need to take her off the air and remove her pictures from everything? That is not what the majority of people want and they should know this.

I am a longtime admirer - there just is not another Martha, she is special . Keep up the good work

Please make no more jokes about Martha Stewart, they really make me sick.  The real  joke is on our judicial system, a system that spends so much time and effort on an honest business woman and lets murderers and rapist off on technicalities!   Poke fun at the taxpayers for letting them railroad Martha!
Sincerely,

Dear Jay,

Surely you can find someone else to pick on besides Martha Stewart in your jokes....there are a lot of us in the U.S. that thinks she is not guilty and should be pardoned.

Let's give her a break, she was railroaded from the beginning.  He she was a man, this would have never happened..

I am only one of millions of Canadians who along with millions of other people around the world who strongly believes that Martha is being made out to be a criminal because of someones' problem with women making it so big in what they believe to be a man's world of business. If she was not convicted of the crime, how or why would she lie about it? I say if she is not guilty of the crime, then exonerate her.

I am so glad one of your American TV stations still carry her program, as I spent this April Fool morning laughing and thought this woman is a sheer genius. The programs are my learning programs which I look forward to each day. Keep up the good work Martha and we are all behind you here in Canada.

I felt I must write to you immediately upon receiving your email and website information to tell you how impressed by what you are doing.  The energy and love you have show in every sentence, and I think you are doing a wonderful job!  I am not signing up at this point only because I and going out of town for some time.  However I am doing the following and I hope it will help.
*Subscribed to MS Living Magazine as gifts for 4 friends (for Mother's Day); I already had subscription, and added 2 years to it.
*Went on a catalog rampage, and bought as many Xmas gifts as I could think of form the MSL catalog on-line
*Going to local Kmart this weekend to by everything I can think of!  Store is not a very good one, and it is unusually poorly stocked; however I know there's going to be SOMETHING I can buy for myself or friends.
*Daily letters to MarthaTalks site.

Best wishes in your endeavor.  I'm pulling for you one hundred percent!

Hello,

I think that Martha got the short end of the stick.

I have been thinking for a long time that news reports and what happens in the news is only giving the people what they want to hear and simply entertainment that shapes our beliefs.

The country was in need of something that would make us think that our leaders are doing something about the corruption that has been taking hold in America.  We are lead to think that the current coruption is something that is new.

So they have handed us someone that is constantly in the public eye so that we would really understand that something is being done to fix the problem.  Guilty or not, I can't say. However, I am sure that there men that are even more guilty but we don't know their names so we are given the head of Martha Stewart for our entertainment.

I am a black male and I have always liked Martha, but I believe that she was merely making too much money for the majority of the very rich to except pluse she was the best person to put on trial because she is in the public eye a lot more than those (white males) who probably made even more money trading the same stock, or, at least have been doing the same thing for a long time.

I am sure that insider trading is still going to a greater degree than Martha is accused of and that it will continue to happen for as long as I live.  What she is accused of doing is just the way the game is played and I am pretty sure that many of us good and innocent people would, more than likely, have done the same thing for sure had we been given the opportunity. I think the Martha should continue to head her company because the majority of the American will go back to our soaps in a few years and say that, even if she really is guilty, she only did what the "very rich white males" have been doing for years and will continue to do FOREVER.

She is still the very best at what she does so why should I invers in anything less.

Save Martha!

Carl

Subject: sent to Polish-American publications

POLISH-AMERICAN NONSOLIDARITY

The Polish-American silence in the Martha Stewart witch hunt is deafening--a state of affairs, alas, all too typical of our passive, 9-million-strong American Polonia.

It brings to mind events I experienced many years ago as a student in the Harvard Graduate School. In 1963 I was delighted to discover a prominent site on campus, near Memorial Hall, was called Kosciuszko Square (the area can be found so designated on older maps). And it was gratifying to find in the Kosciuszko Square, not far from buildings in which revolutionary troops were housed and Christ Church, where George Washington once prayed, a stone monument commemorating the role of Tadeusz Kosciuszko in the founding of the United States of America.

In the early 1970s the roadways comprising Kosciuszko Square were put underground and supplanted by a grassy mall. One imagined the new mall would be named after Kosciuszko. But that was not to be. Poland's contribution to the American Revolution was not deemed of sufficient importance. The mall would no longer honor Kosciuszko.

I wrote Harvard's then President pointing out the inappropriateness of this change and was dutifully notified that the stone monument commemorating Kosciuszko had been moved, "with due ceremony," to the Cambridge Common--then a god-forsaken tract adjacent to the Harvard campus known as a locus for muggings and other anti-social acts.

I daresay if Kosciuszko Square had instead been "Einstein Square," Harvard University's move to banish Einstein to Siberia would quickly have been reversed--and rightly so. The University's vocal Jewish and scientific constituencies would not have tolerated it. There was, I must hasten to add, a palpable Polish presence at Harvard--among faculty, students and staff--during the episode I describe. Yet mine was probably the only Polish-American voice raised in protest.

One wonders whether the government would have pursued Martha Stewart quite so fanatically had she been of some other ethnicity. Can President Bush afford the luxury of ignoring Polish-American opinion on this issue in light of the close election soon to take place? A petition asking the President to pardon Martha Stewart may be found online at www.savemartha.com. Please consider adding your name. Jeszcze Marta nie zginela poki my zyjemy!

John,

Hello. If I may suggest for the to do list having the flyers available for people to print out. And perhaps inform people they can go to their local copy center and have more copies made. For Save Martha Day I had 1,000 black and white copies of the uncle sam flyer printed and it cost only $17.30.

Saturday I printed out on my computer the Rosie flyer and hand wrote this message by side of flyer: Hello. I live in Sonoma County and believe Martha Stewart has been unjustly persecuted by aggressive feds determined to have a famous "poster child" for corporate crime. The attached letter posted on SaveMartha website reflects how I feel about the case. If you would like to see a petition to The President and other information please visit SaveMartha.com. Thank you. Then I printed out the letter to Judge Cedarbaum written by Alexandra Mark. I had 1,000 copies printed of the Rosie flyer (black and white) along with the letter to the judge, collated and stapled. Cost was $225.75. But anyway, if people could just get printed out single flyers in black and white the cost is low. Maybe a sign the petition and why we feel persecution of Martha Stewart unjust flyer. I don't know. Maybe nutcases would sign but maybe not.

Over the weekend I passed out the Rosie flyer with the letter. I said to people "Hello, I'm trying to help Martha Stewart. May I give you this information please". It seemed to me when I said "Martha Stewart" their faces turned sad. Everyone took a flyer and some people wanted to talk and expressed how they felt which is pretty much summed up by a woman who said "Yeah, she got a raw deal." One employee at a decorating store said "I was just thinking a hour ago I should write her a letter." I told her I'm sure Martha would appreciate her letter. I was pleased people seemed eager to help.

John, just one more thing I'm thinking. I have seen comments like "she lied under oath" and "guilty of insider trading." I'm wondering if putting on the to do list the articles that best describe what happened, i.e. to do - be informed (or something) . Helpful to me were the Ms. Magazine article and the "Diva Down" article written by Elizabeth Koch to understand this whole mess. That is what has helped me to understand lately, but have yet to read your whole website, maybe other helpful articles?

John, sorry letter so long. Been doing all I can to help Martha Stewart, writing letters etc. Will buy two shirts on your website today. The petition is wonderful and will become a part of history of how people felt. Thank you for your tremendous hard work.

Regards,

Jean Howery

Dear Mr. President,

I would like to join the list of supporters for a full pardon for Martha Stewart.

She has been an inspiration to so many women including my daughters and me. She has been an example of how hard work and determination can be a rewarding experience when decorating your home, cooking for your family or parties, and creating beautiful gardens. Much of what she recommends does not require a huge budget either.

Her books, especially, have given so many women ideas that have expanded their own creativity and made their lives and those around them richer and more beautiful. She has made it possible for many women to be proud of being able to serve a beautiful meal, to create a lovely bouquet or holiday wreath, to be a gracious hostess and to continue the creative process in other home ventures.

What she is accused of doing is minor, in my estimation, compared to all the good ideas and inspiration she has given women over the years.

Thank you,

Beth Foster
Harpswell, ME.

To the Honorable Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum:

The task before you is great.  The supporters of Martha Stewart ask that you take into deep consideration the enormous contribution that she has made to our society.
She is a role-model for women, men, and children and has made our world a better place to live because of her countless contributions and efforts.

Judge Cedarbaum, please ask yourself seriously what good it would do to put Martha in prison.  Our tax dollars are wasted enough and Martha has lost more personally and professionally than any of us could have ever imagined.  Her life has been on hold long enough; she and her family, friends, and employees have suffered enough; and enough is enough.

Thank you for your consideration in this great task.  We know it will not be an easy task, but right is right, and freeing Martha Stewart is the right thing to do.

Sincerely,

Michael Wright

March 21, 2004

To the Honorable Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum:

Dear Judge Cedarbaum, please I ask that you take into consideration the wonderful contribution Martha Stewart has brought to our lives. Ms. Stewart has worked so hard to create a successful empire where it provided jobs for hundreds of people, but her conviction hurts her and company tremendously. The thought of her going to prison has brought nothing but sadness for me, I am so concerned for her. Judge Cedarbaum, please do not put Ms. Stewart behind bars she does not deserve it. Why must our system continue to persecute this amazing person who has done good for our society. She has done no harm to us, in fact she has brought her warmth and wisdom to our living rooms everyday, teaching us the importance of family values. She has enriched our lives so much and taught us about culture, art and to seek beauty in everything. This is a person who does not belong in prison! Ms. Stewart is a true jewel and treasure for our society, she is not a criminal.

Ms. Stewart has had to step down from her own company that she founded by hard work and passion. The stations have taken her educational shows off the air and now the humiliation of a possible prison sentence. I BEG, please do not let that happen to her, she has suffered enough!! I am just a little voice out there who will stand up for her till the day I leave this earth. I as did many supporters did not witness justice, we witness a woman getting stripped of everything she has worked hard for.

She has been admired for both her strength and courage that she has had to take with her everyday since this all began. Ms. Stewart is a successful business woman and I will continue to support her in any way that I can, I will be a true loyal supporter all the way. Please, take the time and set her free from going to prison. Let her return to her life and continue to do good things. She is indeed a good human being, we all love and cherish her dedication to bringing back the important values of our everyday lives. Thank you.

Dear Editor,

Thank you for Judge Cedarbaums'address.

From the beginning I have felt a shamed of our Judicial System. They have
played into to the hands of men wanting nothing more then to further their
own agenda. This is not the, 'Right against Persecution' my father fought
for in the Korean War or my son is new serving the United States Marines
Corps to protect.

Ms. Stewart is a successful woman who made it on her own. I was reminded, when
this whole thing arose of Madonna, when she published her book 'SEX'.
Everyone was in an outrage, as if nude pictures had never been published
before or sex ever mentioned in a book. No one was raising Cain about
'Hustler, Forum, or Playboy'.

Why was Madonna's book so different? Because she did it, made it, even
exposed herself! Martha has made it 'Her Way' too! Had there been a man
behind or in front of either one of these women all the fuss would be pushed
aside. You know, 'poor girl was just taken advantage of'.

I wish to ask a question. Is part of the 'Get Martha' goal make an
example for other young girls and women as to what happens to women who
don't know their place?

Boycott Viacom! they have many companies and we need to hit their bottom line in a broader sense than just writing CBS, which is just one of their many companies. A complete list can be found on their own website:

I've printed two copies, one on my refrigerator and one in the car. I sent my cut-up Blockbuster card to Viacom's president at:

That show is the centerpiece and the genius of MSLO. Without it the comapny is greatly weakened. We need to get that show back on the air! Thanks you for this great site. You are truely giving the "little guys" a voice

I purchased a safety pin and tied a small yellow gingham bow on it and wear it. I now carry extras and hand them out to whoever wants one. I own a multimillion dollar construction company and utilize her design information on every project.

Dear Jay,
I'm a huge Martha Stewart fan, esp of her products. I am also a fan of yours, and I would urge you, because I feel that you are a kind-hearted man underneath all of the jokes, to give Martha Stewart a break right now during this high-tension "waiting" period. She's got enough on her plate without you guys dredging for every laugh at her expense !
Also, I heard your joke about Martha not knowing where a K-Mart even was, and, altho I see the humor in that statement, I also know that you couldn't be further off-base. Martha knows where her products are sold, probably knows where each K-mart is and in which cities !
I would urge you, just for the experience of it, to join her supporters at a K-Mart this weekend, with your "jaywalking" cameras, and shoot some film for the show. Get a sense of how deep the love and respect for her is among her supporters, and why they feel as they do. It might be fun too ! The country ought to see this side too.
Thanks for listening Jay, and best regards always,

Judith Miller

Dear CBS,

Please bring Martha Stewart back to the CBS Early Show.Wake up, or should I say, you will be dropped. I will NOT BE WATCHING YOU ANY MORE. THE ONLY REASON I WATCHED YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS TO SEE MARTHA STEWART. CINDY JEDRZEJAS

Dear CBS,

Please bring Martha Stewart back to the CBS Early Show. She is going to
survive this ordeal and come back better and stronger than ever. And those
who stand beside and behind her will reap the benefits of her continued
success. Those who turn their backs on her now better get out of her way
when she rises again. Just like the Phoenix...from the ashes.

Judith A. Muncy

Dear Jay,

You take your wife and you go down to Kmart and load your cars up with all of Martha Stewart's sheets, pillows ,towels and pot and pans.[Maybe get some cookbooks as well] Now go home and use them, make your bed , take a shower. Now you can see why we all love Martha Stewart's things. IT IS A DAMN GOOD THING!!!!

One Martha Stewart Believer in Michigan ,

Dear Martha Stewart advertiser,

I'm keeping a close eye on who's still advertising with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. I will support those who stick by the company. I'm calling and writing CBS everyday in hopes that her show will be brought back to my market. In the meantime I'm boycotting all Viacom companies and have reprogrammed my TV to avoid stations they own.

The message we need to get out is that making an "example" of Martha is NOT JUSTICE. JUSTICE IS ABOUT EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER THE LAW. If Martha goes to prison, there are thousands out there who have committed the same errors of panic and fudging on the truth to avoid a problem. If Martha goes, they all need to go....

I cannot believe that CBS has removed the Martha Stuart program which aired
at 9 am in San Francisco. What does her recent troubles have to do with the
quality of the program?

The show was one of the few decent and helpful and creative pieces left on
television today. CBS airs tacky reality shows that are embarrassing and
removes Martha Stuart?

I hope she will be able to continue on air - but even if she can't I am sure
that the company will be able to find a temporary sub or subs - like her
daughter or her mother or her sister ( or all three) who can keep it going
until she can return.

I hope that the small brained executives who are responsible for taking this
show off the air will realize that they have made a huge mistake and put it
back on again. After all the excellent material she has given all of us I
would hope we could all stand by her in return. Let her continue as long
as she is able and then do re-runs for a year. Big deal - they do re-runs
of everything else, and re-runs of her show would be fifty times better than
live anything else. Shame on CBS!

We the "LITTLE PEOPLE" do not want Martha Stewart to go to
prison.

We the "LITTLE PEOPLE" do not want Martha Stewart to be destroyed.

We the "LITTLE PEOPLE" know that Martha Stewart is being
made an example of , regardless of her innocence.

We the "LITTLE PEOPLE" know what a great asset Martha
Stewart is to our lives.

We the "LITTLE PEOPLE" know that Martha Stewart is what
this Country is all about, HARDWORKING.

We the "LITTLE PEOPLE" know that Martha Stewart has been
called everything known to mankind, and yet she returns each
day trying to bring "Good Things" to our lives.

We the "LITTLE PEOPLE" know that Martha Stewart has been
taken for granted, and not given the respect and credit she
so deserves.

We the "LITTLE PEOPLE" know that justice has not been served
in Martha Stewarts' case.

Members of the media, those in our judicial system, and especially
those on the panel of jurors. I am one of the "LITTLE PEOPLE," and I am simply tired of others speaking for me. As one of the "LITTLE PEOPLE" I know how much Martha Stewart has contributed to this world. I know that she has worked extremely
hard, and deserves anything her heart desires, even a $12,000
handbag. As a "LITTLE PERSON" I am secure enough within myself not to be jealous of all that Ms. Stewart has, nor as one of the "LITTLE PEOPLE" do I want to take it away from her. You see; my
Mother was one among many that have taught their children for EONS, to respect others, and most importantly, not to be jealous
of them. As one of the intelligent "LITTLE PEOPLE" I know a "Good Thing" when I see it....... Martha Stewart is a "GOOD THING."

Let Martha Stewart Go!, She has already done enough time, time in the public eye, when her only crime is having what others can only dream of having.

Staying the Course,
Diana Sypolt

I agree wholeheartedly with the previous message from
'WE The LITTLE PEOPLE' Martha does not deserve to go to prison!
Martha Stewart is, indeed, A GOOD THING. She has done more for AMERICA to enhance the lives of the people than any person on earth. She has done far more than any President, Supreme Court Justice, Juror, School Principal or College Professor to better our lives. Let's honor her instead of putting her in prison.

Staying the course, also.
Joyce Payne

I just want to add my comments to your Save Martha campaign. I am sick and tired of all the news media "Martha Bashing". What was Martha's real crime? I feel that the real crime as perceived by the powers that be was the fact that she was a successful woman who was invading "The Good Old Boys" territory. They have maligned her in an awful TV movie starring Cybil Sheperd--type casting a B---- as a B----. Of course Martha Stewart has to be a perfectionist or she would not have been as successful as she was, and I expect she required those who worked for her to be perfectionists, too.

They have said she was a criminal who lied to prosecutors. Maybe she did and then again maybe she had forgotten the conversations as she is a busy woman with an extensive company to run. There again when this happens, and it does, to the "Good Old Boys" it is minimized and swept under the rug. Look at the "Good Old Boys" who stole billions from investors at Enron. Who ever hears of them anymore and they are still living in their mansions, riding in their chauffer-driven limosines and jetting around the world to parties. Where is all the indignation concerning their crimes?

If K-Mart removes her products, I will no longer have any reason to shop at their store. I love the Martha Stewart housewares and Christmas lines. If you buy something from Martha Stewart and go back six months later and see a companion piece you do not have to worry if it will match or not. If it says the same color--it is--unlike most Wal-Mart products. I have seen articles written by the "financial experts" who are astounded that people will still buy her products. What do they think, that people who are millionaires shop at K-Mart, or that poorer people do not like to have nice things in their homes? I cannot afford personal decorators to decorate my home but I do like to have nice things that fit into my budget and that is what Martha Stewart at K-Mart is all about.

I have been totally disgusted that they removed her television program from the line-ups. We (both my husband and I) watched her every morning on channel 5 KSD-TV, St. Louis, Mo. We really miss her and her good programming in the midst of garbage (i.e. if you have slept with your son's girtlfriend's mother, call me). Well, channel 5 KSD-TV is no longer on our television--I don't care if
"Friends" has the greatest ending to any program there has ever been--if it is on channel 5 WE will not be watching it.

Sincerely yours,

Janice Janine McLean
